Mini Sunset

DSC01779

Okay so after seeing a friend of mine record herself painting and drawing different things, I got a bit inspired and decided I wanted to try this out for myself. It took me about 4 hours to find a set up that worked and I decided to try it out some. I realized I love watching myself paint. Even if I hate the end result, I love just watching something turn from nothing into something. This was the first painting that I recorded on it, and yes it’s small and not very good, I just wanted to try it out and do something small. Plus I didn’t have a lot of storage on my camera to fit hours and hours of painting into. This took about 40 minutes, and I still had to stop midway in painting and delete some stuff off my camera being I wouldn’t have enough storage.

Anyway, if you want to see the timelapse I made of this and some others, go to my Instagram at @art.w.a. I can’t post videos on here unless I want to upgrade my website, which I can’t afford right now. Maybe if I get into a regular posting schedule I’ll decide if the upgrade is worth it.

Anyway, enjoy, and any comments or critiques are always welcome and appreciated. Follow my blog if you want to see more stuff from me in a pretty random posting schedule.

Selling Artwork

So I know I’m not amazing at art and I have a long way to go for improvement. I was just curious if that would be something anyone was interested in. I was also wondering what would be a good platform to sell art on. I was thinking about ArtPal or Amazon, just because of it’s ease to use. If you guys know of anything just comment and I’ll be glad to check it out

Beach Paintings

Hey guys!

So I haven’t seen on in a while because of stress with exams in school and whatnot but these are some of my older beach scenes. I have some newer paintings that I have yet to upload but I haven’t downloaded them on my computer yet. You’ll see those soon too.

Enjoy,

Anna

Mountains + Update

I’m sorry I haven’t been on for a while, I underestimated how busy I would be with schoolwork. Anyway, I finally painted! I know you can’t see my signature but my scanner cut it off.

Also, I know I’m not a huge blog with thousands of followers, but I probably won’t be on daily on this blog just because I have to put my schoolwork in front of everything. I’ll try to post as frequently as time allows though.

Claude Monet

claude-monet-paintings-claude-monet-26520056-600-447 One of my favorite artists by far and inspiration is Claude Monet, I love how he is able to paint landscapes and nature in such a unique style. I feel like when I paint I don’t really have a personal identity it’s more that I just paint what I see, which I want to learn to create my own personal style and identity with my art. I’m hoping that as I study his works of art I’ll be able to use his style to venture off into my own.

Sketch Day #1

image

As a part of going back and learning the fundamentals of painting and drawing, I decided to try to do at least one sketch in my sketchbook everyday, and focus more on plants and landscapes. I also want to just observe nature in person as oppose to simply looking at photographs, so I’ll mark my journey on sketches everyday and possible one painting a week. Okay, so this is just a palm tree, living in Florida I encounter these everywhere I go, so while I was waiting for a ride home from school I decided to just sketch one of the many palm trees
